Lamar Jackson Reacts to Tweet About ‘Walton Money Being Different’ Following Russell Wilson’s Monster Extension with Broncos

All eyes are now on Lamar Jackson.

Russell Wilson’s new deal with the Denver Broncos is worth $265 million over five years. It includes $165 million guaranteed. The $49 million a  year contract is second only to Aaron Rodgers’ $50.2 million. Wilson’s deal is worth slightly more in both average annual value and guaranteed money than the extension Kyler Murray recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals.  The Ravens are going to pay  Jackson, but probably something closer to Wilson’s and Murray’s respective deals.

But not necessarily Deshaun Watson’s deal with the Browns. The Cleveland Browns signed Watson to a five-year, $230 million contract after they acquired him in a trade with the Houston Texans. The entire deal is fully guaranteed.  Jackson has reportedly been asking the Ravens for the same.

“Jackson is asking for a contract that is both fully guaranteed and worth more than the $230 million that Cleveland gave to quarterback Deshaun Watson on a five-year deal this offseason.

“Why wouldn’t he (ask for more than Watson)?” the source asked, rhetorically.”

Lamar was on Twitter today like the rest of us, and reacted to a comment about “Walton Money.”

Lamar is agreeing with Marlon Humphrey saying that Walmart money hits different. The Denver Broncos were recently acquired by the Heir of the Walmart Family for 4.65 billion dollars who then paid Russell Wilson a monster 5 Year-245 Million Dollar contract with 165 Million guaranteed.

Lamar will get paid, it’s only a matter of time.
