Draymond Green Wants To See Kyrie Irving On The Lakers

Do the Lakers still have a chance at landing Kyrie Irving?

Even after it was announced on Monday that Irving was opting in to his 2022-23 deal with the Brooklyn Nets, it is still believed that the Lakers are monitoring the situation.

Earlier in the week, Draymond Green spoke on how he would like to see Kyrie Irving back with LeBron James.

“With LeBron James, if you give them someone like Kyrie… they’ll have a chance because of the way Kyrie can score the basketball. LeBron will only put him in a position to do that. Kyrie has not proven to be a great leader. LeBron will put an umbrella over that. If you can do what you’re good at, you have LeBron leading…

Still, Draymond Green doesn’t see a Kyrie-LeBron reunion being enough to beat his Warriors.

“They could contend, but they won’t beat us,” he added.

Draymond Green has ruffled a lot of feathers since starting his own podcast. And he’s been open about his friendship with LeBron James.

It’s clear Draymond wants LeBron James and the Lakers to succeed. And adding Kyrie Irving would most definitely help them get back to their contending ways.

Still, Draymond Green knows the Lakers have a long way to go to get on the level of the Warriors.
