LeBron James Reveals His Next Lofty Financial Goal

NBA superstar LeBron James is now an owner of a soccer club and a Major League Baseball Team. The news broke yesterday that LeBron and his business partner Mav Carter invested into the Boston Red Sox, making them minority owners of the history baseball team. So what’s next for Bron Bron? Following an easy win last night for the Lakers, he laid out his future plans for fans and reporters.

“My goal is to own an NBA franchise,” he said after the Lakers’ 137-121 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. “And it’ll be sooner than later.”

The idea of owning an NBA team has been in James’ mind for a while.

“I’ve always said that my goal was to own a team, own an NBA team,” James said. “I’ve got so much to give to the game. I know what it takes to win at this level. I know talent. I also know how to run a business as well and so that is my goal.”

Just ask MJ how hard it is to win an NBA championship as a  team owner.

It’s going to be lot easier for LeBron as a player than it will be as an owner, but hey, I get why he wants the challenge.
