Dwayne Haskins had a rough go of it in Washington. He lasted less than two years, and was unceremoniously released this season after pictures surfaced of him at the strip club. Haskins was benched several times throughout his tenure in Washington.

Twitter reacted to the signing:
I like it. This is a great opportunity for Haskins to be mentored by a great coach and a better person Coach Mike Tomlin. #SteelersNation https://t.co/YuD6UOQaAi

My first thought was, “Why?”. At the end of the day, assuming it’s for a league minimum, this is a low risk move for the Steelers. Let’s give it a chance before panning it. #Steelers https://t.co/KbIwPBx4qg

I've been a #Steelers fan for over 50 years. I'm going to have to rethink this. https://t.co/6Xbg5ukp8o

But Steelers are broke. How are they paying for this? Afterpay? https://t.co/poSRJmIbwC

Brilliant. The man who brags about stats in losses, parties in strip clubs and tells COVID rules to piss off is exactly the type of character this team needs. #ClownShow #SteelersNation https://t.co/7OStNTbDIs

Makes sense to go for a low cost project when you're on the books for $39 mill to Big Ben https://t.co/URpi2MMkbV

I like the move. The #Steelers feel the same way abt Mason Rudolph as most of #SteelerNation does. Low risk, possible High reward. #HereWeGo https://t.co/D9XIjynFnm

I do not understand this move. I know Mason Rudolph isn’t the answer. I would’ve rather seen the Steelers put together a trade package for Watson or Darnold. Maybe even target someone in the draft. https://t.co/JapLQ47p1I

🤦 It has become painful to be a #Steelers Fan. The good thing is that there aren’t many Strip Clubs in Pittsburgh, so he probably won’t stick around long. #Steelernation https://t.co/VMM8IrNYha

The NFL is all about second chances. If Antonio Brown can get another opportunity to play, Haskins certainly deserves another shot.
Mike Tomlin is probably chomping at the bit to get his hands on Haskins.
