Nemanja Matic Savagely Trolls Cristiano Ronaldo And Bruno Fernandez After Portugal Non-Goal Controversy

Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo was fuming after a no-goal call in extra time costed his team the win against Serbia. After further review, it was pretty clear that the ball crossed the line.

Ronaldo threw a fit, and stormed off the pitch after the call went against him.

While a lot of people around the game are still fuming about the call, Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has found the humor in the situation.

Check out his savage troll job on Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez on social media.

Matic wrote: “Just on the line. Is it all clear now?” while tagging both Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez in the Instagram story.

Dutch referee Danny Makkelie has apologized for missing the call during the game, but that wasn’t enough for Portugal boss Fernando Santos, who thinks that VAR and goal-line technology should be incorporated into international competition.

“The referee apologised and I have great respect for him, but it is not permissible that, in a competition like this, there is no VAR or goal-line technology,” Santos said via A Bola .

“The ball was half a metre inside the goal, there was no obstacle between the goalkeeper and the goal line. It was very clear.”

While the Serbian Nemanja Matic will be happy with the lack of VAR technology in the game, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez are going to have to try to put this situation behind them.
