Carson Wentz Trending Following The Terry McLaurin News

Carson Wentz is going to be without his best target, Terry McLaurin, for a while.

Today, it was reported that the Commanders receiver was set to hold out for the entire minicamp while he expects to be granted a hefty contract extension.

Obviously, Carson Wentz could use all the help he can get to grow a rapport with Terry McLaurin so the Washington experience goes a little bit better than the Colts tenure. But he will not have that opportunity.

Just last week, Carson Wentz said that he has been in contact with Terry McLaurin despite the two not getting crucial practice time.

“I’ve spoken with Terry quite a bit. I’ve been around him a couple times already, so excited for when we do get back out on that field together,” the QB said.

While the Washington Commanders may not have the most star-studded group of playmakers, Carson Wentz has said that he likes the pieces other than just Terry McLaurin.

“I think we have a unique group. It’s been fun getting even the young guys involved, the guys we drafted—Jahan, Cole (Turner), Brian Robinson—getting all those guys in the mix kinda halfway through this offseason. It’s been a lot of fun to just see different personalities, and really we’ll start to see that in training camp once the pads go on…I think we got a good bunch of the skillset guys.”

Even if he’s saying all the right things so far, you’d have to imagine Carson Wentz isn’t happy about Terry McLaurin’s absence.
