Chad Johnson And Dez Bryant Come To The Defense Of Bengals Rookie Ja’Marr Chase After The Receiver Was Called Out For Having Way Too Many Dropped Passes

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase hasn’t clicked in Training Camp, and his struggles were on full display over the weekend.

During Friday’s preseason game against the Washington Football Team, Chase dropped several passes that should have undoubtedly been caught by a player of his caliber.

After the game, Bengals coach Zac Taylor got real blunt when speaking on Ja’Marr Chase’s recent issue with drops.

ā€œWe just expect our receivers to catch the ball, itā€™s as simple as that,ā€ Taylor said.

During Sunday’s practice, Ja’Marr Chase continued to struggle with catching the football.

Despite the panic from just about everyone around the Bengals, some former great receivers were quick to come to the aid of Ja’Marr Chase.

Former Bengals star Chad Johnson took it a step further, saying Ja’Marr Chase will lead the AFC North in multiple categories.

Ja’Marr Chase is clearly struggling and working out the kinks out of the field right now. But he showcased an elite ability to make plays during his time at LSU, and never really had an issue with dropped passes.

It feels way too early to be pushing the panic button on the Bengals receiver.
