Udonis Haslem Slams Draymond Green For Saying Warriors Were Playing Celtics In Final

Udonis Haslem haș seen some things during his long career, so he knows the latest comments from Draymond Green were ill-advised.

After the Warriors booked their ticket to the NBA Finals this week, Green prematurely stated that Golden State would be playing the Celtics in the finals — despite the fact that Boston still had to close out their series against the Heat.

“I’m going to tell you who I think we’re going to play. We’re going to play Boston,” Green said via Yahoo Sports. “That’s who we’re going to play.”

After the Heat extended their series against the Celtics on the road Friday, Udonis Haslem claimed Draymond Green ‘broke the code’.

“Draymond broke the code,” Haslem told Yahoo Sports after the Heat’s 111-103 victory. “You ain’t supposed to say some s*** like that. That’s disrespectful. He know better than that.”

Haslem would go on to say that he felt Shaquille O’Neal pressured Draymond into making the premature comment.

“He let Shaq peer pressure him into saying some s*** he ain’t got no business saying,” Haslem told Yahoo Sports. “I didn’t sleep much after he said that. That was some bulls***.”

PJ Tucker also agreed that Draymond Green overstepped with the remark.

“I don’t know what part of the game is that,” Heat forward P.J. Tucker told Yahoo Sports of Green’s comment. “A player picking a team before they’re out. That’s crazy, bro.”

Draymond Green will now be forced to await a Game 7 to see who the Warriors will be playing in the finals.

“We’re going home [for Game 7],” Haslem told Yahoo Sports. “We did what we were supposed to do. Don’t ever count us out.”
