Mike Tyson Struggles to Rip Off Shirt at AEW Event

There’s been talk of Mike Tyson making a comeback to the boxing ring after recent training videos showed him looking pretty good. If what happened on Wednesday night is any preview, then maybe he should stay out of the ring.

Tyson stepped into the wrestling ring to confront Chris Jericho at an AEW event. This was of course all staged as Tyson rolled up to the ring with UFC fighters Vitor Belfort, Rashad Evans and Henry Cejudo. Everything was all good until Tyson tried to rip his shirt off:

Jericho asked Tyson to “apologize to him” (what for, I do not know, maybe for taking so long to rip his shirt off?) and then Tyson proceeded to push Jericho which causes a little fracas. I hadn’t heard a vintage J.R. “all hell has  broken loose” in quite awhile, nor did I even know that J.R. was with AEW now. What is AEW anyways? Is this the new WCW?

Here is Tyson’s entrance with Belfort, Cejudo, Evans and others:

Tyson last fought in a boxing match 15 years ago in 2005 when he was almost 37 years old. He hasn’t won a boxing match since 2003 when he defeated Clifford Etienne. All “shirt ripping” jokes aside, Tyson appears to be in peak physical condition at the age of 53 and has been offered upwards of $20 million to fight again.
