Bettors Are Backing A Surprising QB To Win NFL MVP

Bettors are always going to be looking for the juicy odds for NFL MVP. But will first year starter, Trey Lance, really assert his dominance in year one?

As the Niners appear to be moving off veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to pave the way for Lance, bettors are starting to hitch their wagons to the young dual-threat QB.

According to a new report out of Las Vegas, Trey Lance now has more money on him COMBINED than both Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes to win this year’s MVP award.

Trey Lance has drawn some hype from his teammates. Just recently star tight end George Kittle compared his new QB to a younger version of Bills QB Josh Allen.

“He reminds me most of Josh Allen,” Kittle said during a recent appearance on the “I am athlete” podcast.

As it stands, Trey Lance sits at +5000 to win this upcoming MVP Award, and it hasn’t even been officially announced that he’ll be starting Week One over Jimmy G.

However, given his unique skill set and Kyle Shanahan’s prowess as an offensive playcaller, it’s easy to see a path to a monster season statistically for the Niners QB.

If he were to reach his full potential in Year One, the Niners would undoubtedly have a playoff contender under Trey Lance given their depth at all positions, as well.

Why not take a waiver on Lance as a long shot this year?
