Former Patriots Quarterback Thinks Tom Brady Would come Out Of Retirement For One Team

Tom Brady made the ultimate decision to retire after 22 seasons last week. But when speaking on whether or not he would consider coming out of retirement at a later date, Brady left the door open to a return.

“You know, I’m just gonna take things as they come,” Brady said. “I think that’s the best way to put it and I don’t think anything, you know, you never say never. At the same time I know that I’m very, I feel very good about my decision. I don’t know how I’ll feel six months from now, [inaudible] change, it most likely won’t. But I try to make the best possible decision I can in the moment, which I did this last week. And, again, I think it’s not looking to reverse course, I’m definitely not looking to do that. But in the same time I think you have to be realistic that you never know what challenges there are gonna be in life. Again, I loved playing. I’m looking forward to doing things other than playing.”

An outspoken former Patriots quarterback, Scott Zolak, thinks Tom Brady already has a team in mind to come out of retirement for.

According to Zolak, Brady wants to become a 49er.

“I just think that (joining the 49ers) is what Brady’s focused on,” Zolak said during Tuesday’s “Zolak & Bertrand” episode on 98.5 The Sports Hub. “He’s been focused on it for two years, and they’ve gotta deal Jimmy, and (Brady) knows that (Trey) Lance isn’t ready and he knows that team is built to win now. That’s attractive to him. Name another one that’s attractive where it’s plug-and-play.

” … You trade Jimmy Garoppolo to Tampa Bay for the rights to Tom Brady, and then let him decide when he’s ready to go, you become an instant contender in the West.”

This isn’t the first time that Scott Zolak has had a bold take regarding Tom Brady. Just last week he slammed the GOAT for appearing to snub the Patriots from his retirement post.

“He’s either one cold, calculating son of a b—h to where you can release that and say, ‘That’s it, that part of my life is done. This is my new venture. And it was Tampa Bay and now I’m just gonna thank those [people]. I already did New England, now I’m doing you’ … this would be a massive ‘F’ you to the fans,” Zolak said at the time.

Unfortunately, I think the 49ers are set on moving forward with Trey Lance as their quarterback. And Tom Brady will stay retired.. for now.
