Breaking: Bulls Fire Head Coach Jim Boylen

During the NBA suspension, few teams were able to make moves regarding their future. But, the Chicago Bulls began an aggressive plan to re-shape their front office and leadership. On April 13th, the Bulls fired both Gar Forman and John Paxson to hire former Nuggets General Manager Arturas Karnisovas as the new GM.

Today, the Bulls have taken further measures by firing current head coach Jim Boylen after two short seasons.

Jim Boylen was hired shortly after the Bulls fired Fred Hoiberg as head coach. Despite criticism of Hoiberg, many felt it was too early to fire him. After Jim Boylen took over, a lot of losing, drama, and regression took place. Many players, including Zach LaVine were displeased with Boylen on many occasions. Boylen was also ripped often about his under usage of star rookie Coby White.

With a young core that includes Zach LaVine, Coby White, Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr. and Otto Porter Jr. the Bulls have no time to waste in hiring a new leader.

Boylen, 55, finished 39-84 in under two seasons as Bulls head coach.
