One More Team Being Linked To Kyrie Irving

To this point, the main team that has been linked to a Kyrie Irving trade has been the LA Lakers.

Even though things ended on a bit of a sour note in Cleveland, Lebron James and Kyrie appear to have buried the hatchet, and now would love the opportunity to team up again in LA.

However, early reports have indicated that the Lakers currently have no interest in agreeing to the large asking price the Nets have for Kyrie’s services.

Now, another team is being linked to Kyrie Irving: the Dallas Mavericks.

After the Mavs lost point guard Jalen Brunson to the Knicks, it was reported that the Nets reached out to Dallas about a potential Irving trade.

But it has since been reported that Jason Kidd and the Mavericks brass have “little interest” in Kyrie Irving.

“Nobody wants Kyrie outside of the Lakers & they want him bc they’re desperate. … I don’t want Kyrie near Luka. The shame of it is, basketball wise it would work bc of how similarly Luka plays to LeBron,” insider Chris Broussard said on ESPN.

So as it stands, we continue to wait and see if the Lakers can pull the trigger on a Kyrie Irving deal. And while the Mavericks would seem to be a fit on paper, they likely won’t be getting too involved in talks.
