Wisconsin Basketball’s Starting Lineup is Older than the Chicago Bulls Starters

The NBA is getting young, super young. The Chicago Bulls recently drafted 19 year-old rookie Patrick Williams, their latest lottery selection out of Florida State. They immediately plugged him into the starting lineup, taking their average age down to 21.6 years old. That’s actually younger than the University of Wisconsin Badgers’ starting lineup.

The Chicago Bulls are obviously trying to give their young players experience now, and in all reality, the older guys on the team aren’t as good as their young guns. Now it makes sense why Billy Donovan is the man in charge, he has plenty of experience with college aged kids. Meanwhile, the average age of the Wisconsin Badgers probably won’t ever increase by much.

The NBA will continue to stay young as long as college athletes don’t get paid to play while in school. Patrick Williams and his young Chicago Bulls teammates will be interesting to watch over the next few seasons.
