Trae Young’s Dad Not Happy His Son Got Spit On By A Knicks Fan

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young was the victim of many chants and taunts by New York Knicks fans during the first two games of the playoff series at Madison Square Garden. On Wednesday night, one fan took it too far.

Trae Young was spit on by a fan who was sitting close to court-side, and the fan has since been banned from Knicks games.

On the same night, Russell Westbrook got into it with a Philadelphia fan who thought it would be funny to spill popcorn on him as he was walking off the floor. Trae Young’s dad, Ray, has seen enough of fans disrespecting his son and other players around the league.

“Gotta get this under control. [Russell Westbrook] gets popcorn thrown on him & [Trae Young] gets spat on,” Young wrote on Twitter. “I can deal with all the chants about my son, it comes with it. But this needs to be addressed. @NBAonTNT @NBA @espn @nyknicks @NBATheJump”

Trae Young seems to be handling the villain role just fine, and will now head back to Atlanta with the series knotted up at one game a piece.

Hopefully fans can keep it to the hateful chants when Trae Young returns to The Garden.
