Seahawks QB Wilson Throwing Passes To Antonio Brown Looks DangeRuss

Antonio Brown fell off the face of the Earth last season, but he is reminding the NFL that he is still an elite receiver. Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson threw deep balls to AB on Wednesday and he had no trouble tracking them down.

Antonio Brown hasn’t played an NFL game in almost 10 months, but he doesn’t seem to have gotten out of shape in the meantime. Rumors surfaced back in May that Wilson felt strongly about the Seahawks taking a shot on AB. Brown clearly heard the little birds chirping as this video brings credence to the rumors. It helps to have Russell Wilson, but AB doesn’t look like he’s slowed down since his last appearance in September.

The Seahawks receiving corps is already pretty strong. It includes sophomore D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and the new addition of Phillip Dorsett. There’s a lot of talk about the mass of receiving threats down in “Tompa Bay,” but the Seahawks would definitely be in the conversation were they to add AB. Take out the debacle last season in Oakland (and New England) and he’s been north of 100 receptions and 1,000 yards for six straight seasons. As a matter of fact, he only failed to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving twice in his 10 seasons. We all know AB has his problems, but he’s arguably the best receiver of the past decade.

The big question mark is what it will take for him to actually get back on the field. The interest is there from the Seahawks and several other organizations, but he has some hoops to jump through. Brown has multiple pending charges and is on the league’s watchlist. It’s undetermined what a potential suspension would look like, but it could reportedly be as much as 10 games. Like it or not, Antonio Brown is a high risk/high reward option. I guess we shall see if it’s one the Seahawks are willing to exercise. I’m anxious to see if business is still boomin’ for the one and only Antonio Brown.
