Mike Tyson Admits He Was High During Fight With Roy Jones Jr.

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. attempted to turn back the clock for a pay-per-view event last night. The bout was 8-rounds, and both guys got some decent shots in. It wasn’t anything crazy, but Tyson and Jones put on a fine show for two men over 50-years-old.

The whole event had a theme of marijuana. First, Wiz Khalifa performed while smoking a joint, and then Snoop Dogg followed suit. Even Mike Tyson admitted the he was high during the fight.

“Absolutely, yes,” he said during his post-fight press conference via USA Today.

Tyson elaborated on his obsession with the ganja.

“Listen, I can’t stop smoking,” he said. “I smoked during fights. I just have to smoke, I’m sorry. I’m a smoker. … I smoke everyday. I never stopped smoking.”

The fight controversially ended in a draw. Most people had Tyson as the clear winner of the bout. Maybe the draw ruling will open the door to a rematch between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. I’m sure people would still pay money to watch these two old men fight again.

And with these fights being exhibitions, Tyson can smoke all the weed he wants without being tested. Look, if Tyson can pull it off, then he should be allowed to use weed if it helps him fight. He could be doing a lot worse substances.

“It’s just who I am,’’ Tyson said about marijuana. “It has no effect on me from a negative standpoint. It’s just what I do and how I am and how I’m going to die. There’s no explanation. There’s no beginning, there’s no end.”

Blaze up, Tyson.
