Auburn Coach Bruce Pearl Leads Team In Emotional Prayer For Florida’s Keyontae Johnson

Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl got emotional when announcing that Florida player Keyontae Johnson collapsed to the floor during his team’s game against Florida State on Saturday afternoon.

Pearl was clearly distraught while gathering his team around to announce the Keyontae Johnson news. He then had an assistant coach lead the team in prayer for the Florida star.

Keyontae Johnson was reported to be in “critical but stable” condition at a hospital in Tallahassee. He will remain hospitalized overnight. I think now would be a good time for everyone around the country to come together and join in on a prayer for Keyontae Johnson.

Keyontae Johnson’s collapse was not caught on video, but his teammates emotional reaction was enough to realize how serious this was.

Get in Some Sideaction:

Good on Bruce Pearl for recognizing that some things are bigger than the game. We call on these head coaches to lead their players in difficult times, and it appears that Bruce Pearl is a solid leader of men. We will be tracking the Keyontae Johnson situation, and will look for any updates over the next few days.

Prayers up for Keyontae.
