Klay Thompson Shares Heartfelt Message To Warriors Prior To Season-Opener

Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson will miss the entire 2020-21 NBA season after suffering a torn Achilles during the offseason. It’s an injury that shook the entire NBA, and may put a damper on the Warriors plans to compete for a championship.

Thompson took to Instagram to share his message to the Warriors fans, and his teammates ahead of their first game against the Brooklyn Nets tonight.

Klay Thompson has not played in an NBA game for two seasons due to leg injuries, but vowed to return to the league as the same player he was when he left. When he was right, Klay was one of the most electric players in the entire league. The five time all-star is a fan favorite in the bay area, and a huge reason why the Warriors have three NBA Championships since 2015.

Fellow splash brother Steph Curry reacted to Klay Thompson’s post.

“Miss you dawg,” Curry writes. Steph will now have the tall task of competing for a ring without Klay Thompson or Kevin Durant, who will be playing against him with the Nets tonight.

We all want to see Klay Thompson back with the Golden State Warriors ASAP. The NBA is simply better with superstars such as Klay Thompson. I wouldn’t bet against him to come back as strong as ever. Get well soon, Klay.
