Jon Gruden Lashes Out A Reporter For Asking Him What His Favorite Thanksgiving Foods Are

Raiders head coach Jon Gruden doesn’t want to talk about Thanksgiving. He made it very clear during his presser today that he is there to talk about one thing…football. Anything else will not be tolerated. A reporter asked Gruden what some of his favorite Thanksgiving foods are, and he snapped.

“You’re killing me with some of your questions, man,” Gruden says. “I’m just hoping right now, I  got a place to go.”

This is so on-brand for Jon Gruden. During the holiday season, news networks will try to get some fluffy quotes from players and coaches. Normally a coach will let his guard down during this time, maybe talk about some food he likes, or open up about a family tradition. Not Gruden.

Jon Gruden acting like everything is falling apart because he lost to the best team in the NFL is obviously ridiculous, but I’m into it if I’m a Raiders fan. One of Gruden’s best assets is his intensity. He doesn’t handle losing well, and I don’t blame him.

Gruden has been great for the Raiders since he signed on as their coach. He’s been getting more out of Derek Carr this year than anyone ever has in the NFL. Gruden’s Raiders 6-4, and right in the thick of the Wild Card conversation in the AFC. Hopefully his wife lets him enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at home despite the tough loss to Kansas City.
