Bucks and Pistons Immediately Took a Knee After Tip Off

It was another crazy day in America, and NBA teams were showing that they haven’t forgotten about their initiative for social change.  In Kenosha, Jacob Blake was left paralyzed after getting shot in the back multiple times by police officer Rusten Sheskey on Aug. 23rd. There was also all the turmoil happening in our nation’s capital. Last night in Milwaukee, the Bucks and the Detroit Pistons got their game started by immediately taking a knee following tip-off.

Shortly after, players and staff members from both teams took another knee once the Pistons inbounded the ball to give the ball back to the Bucks.

The Heat and Celtics kneeled before the start of their contest in Miami, while the Toronto Raptors and Phoenix Suns came together and linked arms.

If there’s any reminder that we’re still very far away from where we need to be, it’s the NBA’s continual reminder that things aren’t exactly fair and equal in this country.  You have to commend them for standing up for what they believe in, or in some cases, kneeling for what they believe in.
