Athletes Speak Out Against Violent MAGA Protest At The Capitol Building

What’s going down at the Capitol Building right now has shaken the entire country.

A MAGA protest took place in the Nation’s Capitol today, and protestors have gotten violent, and have now overtaken the Capitol Building.

The “stop the steal” movement has taken a drastic turn for the worse, with plenty of blame to go around. While the country slowly looks like it’s falling apart, athletes have taken to social media to express their concerns.

An absolute disgrace what’s happening at the US Capitol right now. And a blatant example of inequity in how law enforcement chooses to deal with those involved. 🗑🗑🗑

This is truly a sad day for this country, and for our democracy. So many times we look to our athletes to step up and use their voices for the greater good, and this will be one of those instances. Fair or not, our athletes have one of the biggest platforms in this country, and a lot of them are known to use that platform to speak out for what they believe in.

This is going to be a long day, and a lot of people from both political parties are going to say a lot of things. We’ll see if the world of sports can once again do their part to try to unify America during a very dark time.
