Brian Flores Explains Why He Went To Giants Interview Knowing He Had No Chance Of Getting Job

Brian Flores is turning the NFL world upside down this week.

After Bill Belichick mistakenly texted Flores instead of Brian Daboll to congratulate him on getting the Giants job, Flores opened a suit against the NFL.

The main evidence of Brian Flores’ racism claim was that Belichick had sent the text before he was scheduled to have his interview with the team.

On Wednesday morning, Brian Flores joined “CBS Mornings“, and explained his feeling when he showed up to the Giants interview knowing that they had already agreed they’d be hiring Brian Daboll.

“It was a range of emotions. Humiliation. Disbelief, anger,” Flores said. “I had worked so hard to get to where I am, to become a head coach. To know it was a sham interview, I was hurt.”

Brian Flores was also asked why he even bothered showing up if he was convinced he wasn’t getting the job.

“It was a range of emotions. Humiliation. Disbelief, anger,” Flores said. “I had worked so hard to get to where I am, to become a head coach. To know it was a sham interview, I was hurt.”

Brian Flores would go on to say that he still hopes to land a job in the NFL. But he also acknowledged that this lawsuit might complicate his future as a coach in the league.
