Terrelle Pryor And Girlfriend Both Receive Plea Deals From 2019 Stabbing Case

NFL free agent Terrelle Pryor and his girlfriend Shalaya Briston have both pleaded guilty to charges from a stabbing that happened in 2019. It was back in November of last year when the police first responded to Heinz Lofts for a domestic disturbance call. There were two callers who said that they had seen a large amount of blood in the elevator. Police were later notified that the stabbing victim, Terrelle Pryor, had arrived at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Pryor’s girlfriend Shalaya Briston had originally faced charges of attempted homicide and aggravated assault, both felonies. Both Pryor and Briston have been granted plea deals for the case.

Terrelle Pryor, 31, received 90 days probation for a guilty plea to a harassment charge. This was down from the original charge of misdemeanor assault. Pryor’s ex, Briston, pled down from felony aggravated assault to misdemeanor simple assault and got 2 years probation. Briston was also arrested in 2020 for a domestic incident. She allegedly assaulted her mother, however, those charges were withdrawn.

Pryor’s attorney recently spoke out on the incident between Terrelle and his girlfriend. “I’m very pleased, and everyone involved is happy to … put this to bed and move on to the next chapter of their lives,” said Terrelle Pryor’s attorney, Stephen Colafella.

Here is the crazy part. According to Colafella, Terrelle Pryor and Shalaya Briston remain romantically involved. I don’t know about you, but I can’t see myself staying with a woman who nearly stabbed me to death. That’s one headache I wouldn’t want to deal with. However, that’s on Pryor. It’s not my prerogative.

Terrelle Pryor spent eight seasons in the NFL. He started as a quarterback and was later moved to wide receiver. In 51 career games, he threw for 1,994 yards and nine touchdowns on 175 of 311 passing. He also caught 115 passes for 1,563 yards and seven touchdowns. Most recently, Pryor spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars 2019, though he ultimately did not end up playing for them. Despite not playing a single snap in 2019, Terrelle Pryor told TMZ earlier this year that he is not giving up hope on his NFL career.
