Report: Tom Brady Hit The Bahamas During Hiatus From Buccaneers

Everyone had a theory about where and what Tom Brady was doing during his recent hiatus from the Buccaneers, but regardless, he’ll be back soon.

Today, Adam Schefter revealed that Brady was planning on returning to the Bucs for practice this week.

Some buzz on social media claimed Tom Brady was filming an appearance on “The Masked Singer”, with the rumor centered around the idea that TB12 made an agreement before coming out of retirement.

Unfortunately, that whimsical theory was debunked. But that’s not to say Brady wasn’t having a little fun during his time off.

According to a new report, Brady took his family to the Bahamas instead of partaking in Training Camp.

Via Pro Football Network:

“League sources indicated that Brady’s time away from the team included a trip to the Bahamas at an exclusive resort and primarily for family time with his wife, Gisele Bündchen. His commitment to family and having a personal life was at the heart of this hiatus from football, and there was no medical emergency, as speculated, or other reasons.

As important as football is to Brady, so is his family, and the Buccaneers have given him his space to be with them. Bowles emphasized that Brady not being with the team was planned and communicated. A league source said that Brady was definitely not expected to retire again and would fulfill his commitments to his coaches and teammates.”

No matter what Tom Brady was doing during his time away, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles insisted that it was planned time away that was agreed upon a long time ago.

Unlike Bucs fans, Bowles was never worried that Brady was going to go back into retirement.

“Do I look worried?” Bowles said last week while smiling. “I’m not worried, so I don’t know why anyone else would be worried.”

It seems like Tom Brady just wanted to spend some time with his family, and at this stage of his career, I don’t think anyone around the Bucs is worried that he won’t be ready to go once the season rolls around.
