Michael Vick Weighs in on Chances Colin Kaepernick Will Get Signed

Michael Vick knows a thing or two about making a comeback.

While making an appearance on Outkick, former NFL quarterback Michael Vick spoke about the Colin Kaepernick situation and whether or not he believes there is a path back to the NFL for the former 49er. As Vick explains, Kaepernick can certainly find himself back in the league, but he will have to settle for what he can get, which would most likely be a backup role.

Via Outkick:

ā€œI think it will happen in due time,ā€ Vick said. ā€œHeā€™s been out the league a couple years and he hasnā€™t played in a long time, itā€™d probably be smart to just come in in a backup role, and just play that backup role for two or three years and, when you get an opportunity to start, you show that you can play. You win a series of games. You win five or six games.ā€

Kaepernick was essentially blackballed from the NFL due to his political beliefs.

He also settled with the NFL over that very issue. Now he wants back in, but he’s on the wrong side of 30, and didn’t look great when he last played. If I’m a terrible team with a terrible QB I’d take a flyer on him, because why not, but hard to see that actually happening.
