Jimmy Garoppolo Linked To New Team As NFL Draft Approaches

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo has been linked to almost every team in need of a QB this off-season.

With the NFL Draft less than 2 weeks away, Jimmy G is now being linked to the Carolina Panthers after the team said they have done “their due diligence” on the QB.

The 49ers may also finally get their asking price as the QB carousel has been a roller coaster this off-season leaving multiple teams scrambling ahead of the draft.

Not only that, reports indicate that former 3rd overall pick in 2021, Trey Lance, has gotten indications that he’ll be the starting QB for the 49ers next season regardless of whether the team trades Jimmy Garropolo or not.

While the Carolina Panthers continue to do their due diligence on available QBs around the league, Robby Anderson already stated his position on whether he would want to see Baker Mayfield in a Panthers uniform this season.

The Panthers are desperate for a fix at QB after their failed attempt to resurrect Sam Darnold’s career from the New York Jets last year.

The Panthers have the 6th overall pick and many think they could end up moving it for a QB if their preferred QB option is gone before them in the draft.

Liberty’s Malik Willis and Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett seem to top most draft boards at the QB position, but things could get very interesting if the Detroit Lions do take a QB with the 2nd overall pick and then leave the Houston Texans in an interesting spot picking 3rd.

I fully expect to see Jimmy G or Baker moved at the draft, even if it is just for a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
