The firing of Urban Meyer sounds a lot like a horror movie, and for Jags fan, that’s pretty much what it was.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan recently reflected on Urban Meyer’s very short tenure in Jacksonville. Khan made it very clear where things stand between himself and the former head coach. Apparently the Jaguars owner had no choice but to give Urban the axe.
He along with the rest of the organization lost total respect for the former College Coach.
“When you lose the respect, the trust and an issue of truthfulness, how can you work with someone like that?” Khan told Jarrett Bell of USA Today. “It’s not possible.”
“I think when you know someone is not truthful, how can you be around someone, OK? We had Doug Marrone here four years. We had Gus Bradley here four years. I have nothing but the utmost respect and friendship with them. That’s why they got the time, because it wasn’t a matter about respect or truth. It was a matter of wins and losses over four years. This is much bigger than that.”
Jaguars owner Shad Khan opened up to @JarrettBell about losing trust in Urban Meyer and ultimately firing the coach.

There were too many reports that came to light that pointed to a coach who was not prepared to coach a professional team.
There are certain coaches who can only coach at an amateur level, and Urban Meyer is definitely one of them.
