Aaron Rodgers’ Gesture To His Newest Receiver Goes Viral

Aaron Rodgers was trending all throughout the NFL Draft.

When the Packers took two defensive players with their first picks, everyone seemed to believe Rodgers was going to continue his rift with the team’s front office.

Especially considering that Aaron Rodgers recently revealed that when he signed his extension he was under the belief that the Packers would be finding a way to keep superstar receiver Davante Adams.

However, the Packers were finally able to shore up their receivers room in the second round of the draft when they selected Christian Watson of North Dakota State University.

While Rodgers’ leadership skills have been in question in the past, he may have surprised a lot of fans with how he welcomed his newest weapon.

According to Watson’s dad, Rodgers was the first person to reach out and congratulate Watson for being drafted, while also welcoming him to the team.

Sure, for most franchise quarterbacks, its second nature to reach out to new players. But this is Aaron Rodgers we’re talking about. And this offseason could have made the notoriously-standoffish player even more unhappy.

But after signing his extension, it appears that Rodgers is fully in on the Packers’ direction, even if they have made a clear downgrade on their offense this offseason.

Perhaps Aaron Rodgers played a role in the team selecting Christian Watson, as well.
