Shortly thereafter, a picture of Darvin Ham guarding LeBron James in the early 2000s went viral all over the web.

LeBron James took to Twitter to welcome his newest head coach to Los Angeles.
“So damn EXCITED!!!!!!!! Congrats and welcome Coach DHam!!” he wrote.
Darvin Ham will have his work cut out for him. For now, the Lakers’ failed core of LeBron, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook are set to run it back for the 2022-23 season — with hopes of a better result this time around.
Unfortunately, the chances are slim that the Lakers can get back to their championship-contending form in the near future. But at least LeBron James and Darvin Ham appear to have a clear mutual respect.
