Robbie Anderson Responds To Viral Quote About Baker Mayfield

Carolina Panthers receiver Robbie Anderson is now in an awkward position.

When the Baker Mayfield trade rumors started surfacing back in April, Anderson made it clear that he did not want the Panthers to make a move on the Browns QB.

Now, though, Robbie Anderson is reversing course on his feelings about Baker Mayfield.

The receiver took to social media to try to explain that he was just trying to show some love to Sam Darnold with his original comment.

“I don’t have an issue with Baker stop tryna paint that narrative,” Anderson tweeted after seeing his comments on Mayfield were going viral.

Whether Robbie Anderson likes it or not, that narrative about him and Baker Mayfield has already been painted, and he has no one else to blame by himself.

Regardless, you’d imagine that Anderson will do everything in his power to get in the good graces of Mayfield prior to their partnership for the upcoming season.

Sure, Carolina might not be the best landing spot for Baker Mayfield. But at this point, he has to be happy that he has a job outside of Cleveland.
