Ben Simmons Now Taking Sixers’ Mental Health Help After Being Fined

Ben Simmons reluctantly showed up to the Sixers after demanding to be traded all offseason. But after saying that he’s struggling with mental health, Simmons has yet to appear in any of the team’s games.

After turning away the team’s offer to get help for whatever he may be going through mentally, the Sixers started fining Simmons for missing time.

Now, Ben Simmons has reportedly accepted the Sixers’ request. And according to Adrian Wojnarowski, the point guard has started to see medical professionals to help guide him through his mental health struggles.

For now, Ben Simmons is going to keep doing the bare minimum that’ll allow him to stay on the sidelines while also not being fined.

But it’ll be interesting to see if he’d immediately be available to play in games if/when he were to be traded out of Philadelphia.

According to a report, the Boston Celtics have showed interest in Simmons. But Daryl Morey’s asking price remains too high, and it doesn’t seem like any deal is imminent.

Hopefully Ben Simmons gets the mental health help he needs, and we see him back on the court soon.
