NFL Futures Props: Young QBs Lead The Way In Most Interceptions Thrown Wagers

Which quarterbacks will bettors fade heavily this season?

Normally, the younger quarterbacks are more prone to the growing pains that come with learning NFL defenses, along with a new offense. And sure enough, it’s several young quarterbacks who are leading the way for the odds on most interceptions thrown this season.

Even though he’s likely to sit out the beginning of the season with a knee injury, its New York Jets QB Zach Wilson who has the highest odds of anyone to lead the way in interceptions this season.

Check out the full list below, Per Draftkings:

Most Interceptions Thrown Odds

  • Zach Wilson: +800
  • Justin Fields: +1000
  • Davis Mills: +1000
  • Trevor Lawrence: +1000
  • Jameis Winston: +1300
  • Matthew Stafford: +1400
  • Baker Mayfield +1600
  • Tua Tagovailoa: +1800
  • Ryan Tannehill: +1800
  • Mac Jones +1800
  • Lamar Jackson +2000
  • Justin Herbert +2000

This week, it was reported that the leader in most interceptions odds, Zach Wilson, will likely have to sit the first game with a knee issue.

“With Zach Wilson’s knee surgery today now considered a success and with the team not willing to bring him back until he’s fully ready, Jets’ QB Joe Flacco is in line to start the regular-season opener vs. his former Ravens team,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter tweeted out today.

If Wilson isn’t able to play for the beginning of the regular season, it’ll be interesting to see if some of his odds get adjusted.

In the meantime, I’m taking a waiver on Jameis Winston to lead to lead the league in interceptions this season at +1300. After all, he threw for a whopping 30 interceptions during his last full season under center for the Buccaneers.

Even though he only threw three picks in his injury-shortened 2021 season, it’s hard to imagine we won’t see a drop off in his production without Sean Payton calling the offense anymore.
