Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is going to have to take a seat in quarantine this coming wildcard weekend. He’s tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be available for the AFC wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s if the game remains on Sunday night. The Browns said special-teams coordinator Mike Priefer will be the interim head coach. Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt is expected to call the offensive plays.

This #Covid19 pandemic sucks. The #Browns first playoff game in 18 years and our head coach @KevinStefanski2 cannot be on the sidelines calling plays. https://t.co/NLoDkd5B45

Only fitting the #Browns finally make the Playoffs for the first time in 18 years then they get an outbreak sweeping through the building that claims the Head Coach & 2 Assistants and 2 more players. They can't catch a break https://t.co/9WkLUsod6k

The Hell with this Virus. It's no more dangerous than the Flu to healthy people. Let them all wear masks and lets play. Asymptomatic people can't spread the Virus anyways. If they have no symptoms they are no danger to anyone else. https://t.co/qcjXQfjESO

Very fitting way for their playoff run to end. I hope they have a speedy recovery, but that’s just their luck. I know Bengals fans can relate https://t.co/5x31jj5Say

Rules are rules, and according to NFL rules, anyone testing positive must sit out at least 10 days.
No change to the status of Browns-Steelers game, NFL's Brian McCarthy (@NFLprguy) says. It remains scheduled for Sunday night in Pittsburgh.

The Browns will be playing in their first playoff game since 2002, and they won’t have their head coach.
