Lane Kiffin Hilariously Calls Out Paul Finebaum For Deeming Him The ‘Miley Cyrus Of College Football’ In 2013

Lane Kiffin does not forget a diss. It doesn’t matter how long it’s been.

During an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show”, Kiffin received a compliment about his age from Finebaum. He proceeded to tell the ESPN analyst that it was the ‘first time he’s ever given him a compliment’, before bringing up the time he was compared to Miley Cyrus by Finebaum.

And then an extended awkward moment ensued between Finebaum and Kiffin.

As Paul Finebaum notes, the incident occurred in 2013, when Lane Kiffin was struggling as the head coach at USC. Finebaum was making an appearance on College Gameday when the ‘Miley Cyrus’ dig came out of his mouth.

“How did someone like Lane Kiffin ever get these jobs?” Finebaum said at the time. “How did he land the Raiders job? At Tennessee? And particularly the one at SC? People think it’s because of his father, Monte, the great defensive wizard. In some respects, Lane Kiffin is the Miley Cyrus of college football. He has very little talent, but we simply can’t take our eyes off him.”

Paul Finebaum also admitted that he thought Lane was going to ‘kill him’ during an interview he did with him after the comment. Check it out, Kiffin certainly doesn’t look too thrilled with Finebaum.

Even eight years later, Lane Kiffin still holds a grudge against Paul Finebaum. Do you blame him?
