T.J. Watt Lashes Out At Reporter for Claim He Skipped Exit Meetings in Frustration

T.J. Watt doesn’t want anyone to think he has any problems in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh talk show host Mark madden reported that Watt skipped his exit meetings with coaches, saying his frustration with the team was apparent.

Watt lashed out the reporter, refuting the report that he had any problems whatsoever.

“Would love to hear who Mark’s sources are. They certainly can’t be myself, Coach T, Kevin Colbert or Coach Butler. All of whom I met with during exit interviews, prior to packing my own things after a hard fought season trying to give everything I have for the city of Pittsburgh,” Watt wrote on his Twitter.

This appears to be a case where a reporter just didn’t do enough due diligence before running with a story. T.J Watt caught Mark Madden red handed in a bad practice. Watt has proved himself to be one of the best pass rushers in the league; however, with an aging Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers window may be coming to a close very soon. They just simply aren’t as dominant as they once were, and that was evident during their first-round loss to the Browns.

It would make some sense if T.J. Watt was a little irked with the direction of the team, but it doesn’t appear that’s the case. No story to see here, time to move on.
