Sergio Garcia Ripped For Telling PGA Official ‘I Can’t Wait To Leave This Tour’

Count Sergio Garcia among the few current PGA golfers who are bound to be interested by the forming Saudi League.

During the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship, Garcia gave a not-so-subtle hint that he was halfway out the door of the PGA Tour when having a disagreement with a rules official.

On the 10th hole, Sergio hit a drive well into the thick grass. While Garcia was able to find the ball in the tall grass, he was told by a rules official that he was still being hit with a one stroke penalty for taking too long to find the ball.

That’s when Sergio Garcia lost it.

Sergio Garcia was ripped by the golf community over his tirade.

The first event of the LIV Tour is scheduled to take place in early June just outside of London. And according to Sergio Garcia’s words, he’ll be in attendance.

Garcia could also be heard saying, “I can’t wait to leave this tour… can’t wait to get outta here.” he said while also letting loose with a few expletives.

Sergio Garcia would join the likes of Lee Westwood, Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson and a few others to show interest in leaving the PGA Tour for the alternative.

It’s safe to say that the PGA won’t miss Garcia’s presence all too much if he were to leave…
