Yasiel Puig Sued for Alleged Sexual Battery at Staples Center

The baseball season is just barely over, and we already have some scandalous news. Baseball bad boy Yasiel Puig allegedly committed sexual battery against a woman in October 2018 according to TMZ.

The alleged incident occurred at a Los Angeles Lakers game while Puig was under contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was later traded to the Cincinnati Reds in December 2018.

According to TMZ, the plaintiff is suing Puig for sexual battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and false imprisonment. TMZ wrote that Puig did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The article also alleges in the court documents that Puig “forced (her) into a bathroom” and then assaulted her. It is unclear if a criminal complaint was filed. The woman does not specify an exact amount she’s asking for but it notes it’s more than $50,000.

Sounds like a money grab.
