Russell Wilson Would Reportedly Like To Work With Chicago Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson might actually be on the trading block. The superstar QB is reportedly fed up with how much control head coach Pete Carroll has over the team’s decisions. He’s also sick of having a below-average offensive line. Earlier today, it was reported that the Seahawks were legitimately actively shopping Wilson.

Russell Wilson has a no-trade clause in his contract, but his agent has given four teams that Wilson would accept a trade to. Wilson would waive his clause for the Bears, Cowboys, Saints or Raiders. According to a new report on Thursday, Russell Wilson is especially intrigued with Matt Nagy and the Chicago Bears.

“A source told me Russell Wilson likes that they have an emerging offensive line, a good solid offensive-minded coach in Matt Nagy, and they have an intriguing market in Chicago,” ESPN Insider Fowler reported.

On the surface, this doesn’t make much sense. Chicago Bears fans don’t even like Matt Nagy, and their offensive line is nothing special. However, it is possible that Matt Nagy is everything that Pete Carroll is not. Carroll likes to run the ball…Nagy (like his mentor Andy Reid) hates to run the ball. In fact, if Russell Wilson goes to the Chicago Bears, he may rival running back David Montgomery for the team’s leading rusher.

Russell Wilson would truly be allowed to “cook” in Chicago. He’d also be given the opportunity to join a young Bears front office when it comes to personnel decisions.

Russell Wilson would undoubtedly be the best quarterback that the Chicago Bears have ever had.Too good to be true, right?
