Pete Carroll Is Getting Roasted By Fans And Members Of The Media After Seahawks Loss To Rams

Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks aren’t used to lose in the playoffs. Especially at home. Especially the way they did on Saturday afternoon. Carroll’s Seahawks didn’t just lose to the Rams, they were absolutely dominated by a defense that had their number all day long. The 30-20 final score probably doesn’t even paint the real picture of the game. The Rams were simply in control from the opening kick.

Carroll got all the blame after the teams lackluster performance.

This is an all time bad loss for Pete Carroll & Russell Wilson.

Both are obviously minted, and Russ is one of my favorites, and I know the Rams defense is spectacular, but losing in this fashion at home to a team without a quarterback just can’t happen.

Carroll spoke about how disappointed he was after the game.

“I told these guys I have no place in my brain for this outcome. We were planning on winning and moving on,” Carroll said, via Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR and PFT. “So, it’s really frustrating to be done. The suddenness of this is, there’s nothing like it. And you just have to deal with it. And so that’s what we’re gonna do.”

Earlier in the season, it looked like the Seattle Seahawks were a force to be reckoned with. Russell Wilson was cooking, and they appeared to be one of a few teams with a legitimate shot to win the Super Bowl. However, something happened mid-season. The offense broke. Russ didn’t look like the same guy, and Pete Carroll didn’t have the answers.

It’ll be a long offseason for Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson, but I wouldn’t bet against them coming out strong next season. We’ve seen them be too good for too long to doubt them now.
