Is OBJ planning on reuniting with Baker Mayfield?

Baker Mayfield continued on in his most recent chapter of his football career, taking on the difficult task as the Quarterback of the Carolina Panthers. And that chapter had a nice little anecdote in it, as the former No. 1 overall pick looked pretty darn good in his Carolina Panthers debut. Not too long after Baker’s impressive debut in Carolina blue, an intriguing player from Mayfield’s past reemerged in the comment section of an Instagram post from the league’s official account.

It was his old teammate Odell Beckham Jr., who came through with a very nice message for Baker.

Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr., of course experienced some growing pains in their relationship on the Cleveland Browns. Clearly it didn’t work out for either of them in the Dawg Pound, and we saw Odell Beckcham Jr. absolutely flourish on a new squad with a new Quarterback. For whatever reason the two didn’t gel on the field, which led to the All-Pro wideout forcing his way out of Cleveland and away from Mayfield.

After being released by the Browns, OBJ found his way to Los Angeles where he and the Rams would win the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LVI.

Baker is still looking for his redemption tour, now in Carolina.
