LeBron James Weighs In On Steph Curry’s MVP Case

Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry has completely taking over the NBA down the stretch this season, and may just be playing the best basketball of his entire career.

With his 46-point performance against the Grizzlies yesterday, Curry locked up the NBA’s scoring title, and has the Warriors set up for a prime play-in game matchup with LeBron and the Lakers. Ahead of the game, LeBron James had all sorts of praise for what Steph has been able to do this season.

James even revealed that he believes Steph Curry should win the MVP this season.

“I mean, just look at what he’s done this year,” James said after L.A.’s win over the Pelicans on Sunday via ESPN. “I don’t know anything else if you’re looking for an MVP. If Steph is not on Golden State’s team, what are we looking at?”

LeBron would elaborate on his case for Steph to win the award.

“We get caught up in the records sometimes. We get caught up in the, OK, who has the best record, instead of just saying who had the best season that year. And Steph has had, in my opinion, the best season all year.”

The winner of the Lakers-Warriors game will play the Suns in a playoff series. The loser will take on the winner of the Grizzlies-Spurs play-in game, for a chance to play the Jazz in a playoff series.

No matter what your feelings are on the play-in tournament, the LeBron vs. Steph matchup is bound to provide some excitement.
