LeBron James Felt Kobe Bryant’s Presence In The Staples Center During Ring Ceremony

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had their ring ceremony last night. It was a little odd without fans in the stands, but the moment did not disappoint nonetheless. A lot of the attention was on Kobe Bryant, as the Lakers won the championship during the same year Kobe and his daughter, Gigi, died in a helicopter crash.

LeBron said that he felt Kobe’s presence with him on ring night.

“What I felt last night when I grabbed that ring from the case. Love and miss you my brother!!!!” LeBron said in his post.

The Lakers would go on to have their ceremony spoiled by losing the the crosstown rival L.A. Clippers 116-109 in what could very well have been a preview of the Western Conference Finals.

While Kobe’s death was almost a year ago, it still feels so fresh for so many people. Kobe’s imprint is all over the NBA, and the Lakers winning the Championship was very much for Kobe and his daughter. Lakers general manager and close friend of Kobe’s also gave him a shout out during the ceremony.

LeBron James has taken over Kobe’s team, now we’ll see if he can continue to win championships in Los Angeles like Kobe used to. LeBron will continue to honor Kobe for the rest of his career.
