LeBron James Mocked Dabo Swinney For Getting Blown Out By Ohio State After Ranking Them 11 In His Coaches’ Poll

LeBron James grew up in Ohio, and has taken on Ohio State as his college team of choice. James has been spotted at Ohio State games in the past and often takes to social media to cheer on the Buckeyes. Like many Ohio State fans, LeBron didn’t take too kindly to Clemson coach Dabo Swinney ranking them 11th in the latest coaches poll.

When Ohio State mopped the floor with Dabo’s Clemson Tigers in the Semifinals yesterday, LeBron took to social media to troll Swinney.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what Dabo answer is when they ask him if he still think Ohio State is the 11th best team in the country,” LeBron wrote on his Twitter.

Even after losing to Ohio State 49-28, Dabo Swinney stood by his ranking of the Buckeyes.

“They’re a great team,” Swinney said via ESPN. “[The ranking] had nothing to do with Ohio State. I said they were good enough to beat us, good enough to win the whole dang thing. But I didn’t think anybody that didn’t play at least nine games, in my poll, that I wasn’t going to put them in the top 10. So I wasn’t going to change that just because there was a chance we could play them. So I don’t have any regret about that. Only thing I regret is obviously not doing a good enough job getting my team ready. But I don’t regret anything about that at all.”

While it’s on to next year for Dabo Swinney and the Tigers, the Buckeyes will have a matchup with a scary Alabama team in the National Championship. I’m sure LeBron can’t wait.
