LeBron James May Be Looking To Buy A WNBA Team

LeBron James is one of the most entrepreneurial players in the NBA. Part of that is because he has more capital than most players, but putting that aside, James likes to invest in causes he believes in. Last night LeBron tweeted suggesting that he is interested in purchasing the Atlanta Dream. The team is currently owned by Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler.

Several players on the Atlanta Dream have criticized Loeffler over her policies and vocal support of President Trump. LeBron James may be looking to alleviate this broken relationship by purchasing the Atlanta Dream from the Georgia Senator.

“Think I’m going to put together an ownership group for The Dream,” LeBron tweeted, sharing a picture of the team wearing “Vote Warnock” shirts.

LeBron James has been very active in helping to turn out the vote over the last few months. His beliefs certainly align more with the Atlanta Dream’s players than Kelly Loeffler.

There is no telling whether or not Loeffler would be willing to sell her stake in the team, however, one thing is for certain. LeBron definitely has the purchasing power and is more than willing to put his money where his mouth is.
