An Old Clip Of LeBron James Saying Giannis Antetokounmpo ‘Can’t Score’ Has Resurfaced

LeBron James is trending for all the wrong reasons during the potentially series-clinching Game 6 for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.

The story started when Channing Frye took to social media in 2020 to declare that “Giannis can’t score”.

In the coming weeks, LeBron James went on a podcast, and shared Channing Frye’s belief that Giannis Antetokounmpo ‘can’t score’.

“Channing said last week, I don’t care; Milwaukee didn’t get better because Giannis can’t score. And people online went crazy because they were like ‘the guy averaged 30! What do you mean he can’t score?” LeBron James said via Bro Bible. “I know what Channing is basically talking about. You got to break down the game. Everyone is so like, instant oatmeal, so surface.”

With his performance in Game 5, Giannis Antetokounmpo became just the second player in NBA Finals history to score at least 40 points and collect 10 rebounds in back-to-back games.

If the Bucks go on to win the championship, it’s basically a shoe-in that Giannis will win the Finals MVP, as well.

Needless to say, this old quote from LeBron James has come back to haunt him
