Kyrie Irving Reportedly Decided That He ‘Just Didn’t Want To Play’ Tonight

It was only a matter of time before we got some Kyrie Irving drama in Brooklyn. That time is now.

Kyrie missed tonight’s game due to “personal reasons”. A new report shed some light on why Irving decided to sit out the game against the Sixers tonight.

Kyrie Irving may be sitting out the game as he reflects on the riots at the Capitol Building yesterday, so let’s pump the brakes a little bit before we rush to judgement on the star point guard’s decision not to play tonight. If you remember, Kyrie took a personal day after Kobe Bryant’s tragic death last season.

Nets head coach Steve Nash was asked about why Kyrie Irving didn’t play, and like the rest of us, he has no idea. Nash added that he hopes everything is OK.

Sideaction’s Latest:

Look, this is what you’re going to get with Kyrie Irving, and the Brooklyn Nets are just going to have to accept that. When he plays, he’s one of the most dynamic players in the game. However, he plays by his own rules, and he’s not going to answer to anyone. Kyrie will simply never change.

Fortunately for the Nets, they didn’t need him tonight as the beat the 76ers 122-109.
