Joe Judge Throws Massive Shade At Doug Pederson For Benching Jalen Hurts

Add New York Giants head coach Joe Judge to the long list of people who had a problem with Doug Pederson benching emerging star Jalen Hurts against the Washington Football Team yesterday. For Judge, the game meant a little bit more. If Pederson’s Philadelphia Eagles had beaten the Football Team, Judge and the Giants would have been NFC East champions.

Judge didn’t want to make excuses for missing the playoffs during his presser today, but he did make sure to take a dig at Doug Pederson for how he handled last night’s game.

“To disrespect the effort that everyone put forward to make this season a success for the NFL, to disrespect the game by not going out there and competing for 60 minutes and doing everything you can to help those players win,” Joe Judge said via the New York Post.“We will never do that as long as I’m the head coach of the New York Giants.”

I have to agree with Joe Judge here. Watching Nate Sudfeld play in a game with playoff implications for the opposing Washington Football Team just felt weird. It was almost like Pederson was intentionally throwing the game. I feel for all the New York Giants players and fans who had to sit through that football game and wonder what in the hell Doug Pederson was doing.

Joe Judge and the Giants will have to wait until next year to get their revenge on the Philadelphia Eagles.
