J.J. Watt Caught On Mic Apologizing To Deshaun Watson For Disappointing Season

J.J. Watt knows that Deshaun Watson deserves better than what he’s been given as the quarterback of the Houston Texans.

As Watson was leaving the field following a Week 17 41-38 loss to the Tennessee Titans, Watt made sure to find him and send a message. He wanted Watson to know that he was sorry for how the season went down.

Sideaction’s Latest:

In his fourth NFL season, Deshaun Watson had the best year to date in the league. Unfortunately, he didn’t have much to work with. The Texans defense ranked in the bottom of the league, and he had to deal with the loss of his best receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.

Watson and the Texans made the playoffs in 2018 and 2019, but the 2020 season was a different story. The Texans finished just 4-12, prompting massive changes to the organization.

Houston will be looking for a new coach and general manager in the offseason, and I’m sure Deshaun Watson will be a part of the decision-making process. He’s shown that he’s going to be the face of the Houston Texans franchise for a long time. Hopefully they can find the right leadership to help build a winner with Watson as the centerpiece.

If I had to bet, I’d say Deshaun Watson won’t be making a habit of winning just four games in a season.
