Rumor: Jeff Bezos Looking To Buy The Washington Commanders From Dan Snyder

Is Jeff Bezos going to one day own an NFL team?

During a podcast segment on the Ross Tucker Podcast, Don Van Natta Jr. speculated on the possibility of the Amazon founder possibly buying the Washington Commanders. It seems the second-richest man in the might just be interested in becoming an owner of an NFL franchise. He already owns the broadcasting rights to Thursday Night Football, so clearly he has a major interest in the NFL.

Listen to the conversation about Bezos’ interest in the Commanders below:

It’s only a matter of time before Snyder is forced to sell, but there is a contingency plan in place, one where he would hand over the team to his children, which would be a compromise on the NFL owners trying to oust him from the league.

Jeff Bezos’ net worth is currently over $150 billion, while most NFL teams are valued around $5 billion. We know it’s not about Bezos being able to afford a team, and you know the other owners would welcome him with open arms.

It’s really up to Dan Snyder how this plays out from here. The Washington  Commanders clearly need new ownership and Jeff Bezos could be the man to take the reigns.

One of these days Bezos will get an opportunity to buy a team, and you know he’s not going to turn it down.
